Description

This cutting board started as a skateboard deck. After the board reached the end of its ride, it was collected and reshaped into a functional kitchen cutting board.

Skateboards are built from thin layers of pressed maple wood, often dyed in different colours. When cut and laminated into a board, those layers become visible as lines running through the surface. The result is a graphic pattern created entirely by the original construction of the deck.

It works well for serving snacks, slicing bread or preparing small dishes. At the same time, it brings colour and character to a kitchen counter or dining table. Each board has its own mix of stripes depending on the skateboards used.
