Modular chaise longue made with otherwise wasted wool and recycled post-consumer PET by Kairos, designed for long-term comfort and adaptable living.
This 200 × 90 cm chaise longue is made for slowing down. It gives you space to stretch, read, or simply pause without compromising on durability or design.
Kairos produces in controlled batches to avoid overproduction and unnecessary stock. That means each piece is made with intention and fits within a circular production rhythm.
The powder-coated steel frame provides a stable base and includes modular connection points, so you can expand or reconfigure your seating over time. The back cushions are filled with Dutch sheep wool for breathable comfort. The seat cushions use high-quality cold foam in two firmness options for long-term support.
All covers are removable and washable. If they wear out or you want a different look, you can replace them without replacing the entire piece. Every component can be repaired or replaced using nothing more than an Allen key. This is furniture designed to stay relevant and usable for decades.
If you’d like to learn more about how Kairos builds modular, repairable furniture with circular materials, you can explore their full story via the Alchemists page.
Each Kairos piece comes with a materials passport, giving insight into exactly what’s inside. The modular steel frame allows future expansion or reconfiguration without discarding the base structure.
The Waste Alchemists movement aims to change perspectives on waste. Products like this show how design can prevent waste from the start by prioritising repair, modularity and long-term use. By choosing this product, you support a system that keeps materials in use for years instead of replacing them.
