A simple stool inspired by Japanese design, surely you’ve got a spot for one of these? It makes a lovely side stool, bedside table or simply a place to display some plants in your living room!

During this workshop, you’ll make your own stool using wood from our shelves. You’ll be working to a design by Ishinamakilab, but you’re free to adapt it. You decide how deep and how long you want it to be, adjusting the dimensions to suit the materials available.

You’ll choose your materials from our shop, all lovely pieces of scrap wood from Utrecht, and the workshop leader will help you get started with this design. You’ll then get to work in the workshop using a crosscut saw, cordless tools and sanders.

No experience? Don’t worry! The workshop is suitable for all levels. The design and guidance will be adapted to your level.

Would you like to build a single piece together as a pair? The second person pays 50% of the workshop price!
