Axe made from reclaimed skateboards by Skateriors, combining layered deck wood with a solid steel head.
This axe started as a skateboard. After years of flips, slides and worn grip tape, the deck would normally be discarded. Skateriors takes these used boards and reshapes the layered maple wood into new objects.
The coloured layers that once formed the skateboard deck now create a distinctive handle. The stripes you see are not added decoration. They come from the stacked wood construction of the original board.
Paired with a solid steel axe head, the result is a functional tool with a very different look. Whether used outdoors or kept as a striking interior piece, it carries the energy of its previous life in a new form.
If you’d like to learn more about how Skateriors transforms skateboards into everyday objects, you can explore their full story via the maker page.
Each axe handle is unique. The colour stripes depend on the skateboards used, so no two pieces look the same.
