Desk lamp made from an old bicycle rack by Roestug, handmade in Zwolle using reclaimed materials and biobased components.
The ReBike desk lamp started as a bicycle rack. Instead of being discarded, the rack is repaired and reshaped into the base of a new lamp.
Roestug builds each piece by hand in Zwolle, using as many reclaimed materials as possible. The lamp shade and name plate are made from 100% biobased and biodegradable PHA, adding a material layer that looks forward while the rack carries its past.
With an LED E14 bulb, the lamp keeps energy use low. It’s made for indoor spaces and can be cleaned with a dry cloth. You can choose between a pure rack look, a limited edition, or the orange version. Other colours are possible in consultation.
The result is practical lighting with visible origin. You can still recognise the rack, just in a new role.
