Description
The “Wasted Moon Beerrings” are created from bottle caps collected from a local brewery. After serving their original purpose, these caps would normally end up as waste. Vuigmakers gives the material a new function by shaping it into wearable jewellery in their Gouda workshop.
Each pair is crafted by hand. The metal keeps subtle traces of its past life, while being formed into a clean and balanced moon-inspired design. They feel light on the ear and easy to wear, whether you combine them with everyday outfits or something more dressed up.
It’s a simple shift in perspective: seeing potential in something that was used once and turning it into something lasting. If you’re curious about Vuigmakers’ approach to working with reclaimed materials, you can explore their full story via the maker page.
Who is this for
- For people who like understated jewellery with a clear material story.
- For those who appreciate locally made pieces that carry quiet character.
Out of the ordinary
Because these earrings are handmade from reclaimed materials, small variations in colour or surface can occur. Each pair is slightly different while keeping the same design and proportions.
